In today's topical content episode, I am joined once again by Alicia Power. You may remember Alicia from Season 1, Episode 68 and her guided meditation in Episode 93.

We are going to do a deep dive into our Spirit Helpers. Some may call them Angels, others may consider them simply as light beings. Alicia will help me explore their nature and pull back the curtains on communicating with them.

We'll discuss:

  • What Spirit Helpers are
  • Quantum physics and quantum consciousness(es)
  • What Spirit Helpers can do and want to do for us
  • What they are here for
  • ... and more

Please post your comments on www.MichaelNeeley.com or on the Consciously Speaking Facebook page. We'd love to hear your thoughts.

If you are interested in accelerating your journey and soul purpose in this lifetime, check out what Alicia has to offer at www.SoulMentoring.com.

Do you frequently feel crunched for time? Are there simply not enough hours in your day? Perhaps no one is more aware of this than Dr. Eric Maisel, the author of many books, including Ten Zen Seconds: Twelve Incantations for Purpose, Power and Calm.

In Consciously Speaking’s guided meditation series today, Michael will guide you through Eric's twelve breath awareness incantations that are meant to get you into a Zen meditation pose quickly. Few people have time for one hour, or even a half-hour meditation session during the day. But, Ten Seconds of Zen can be worked into your day almost anytime, anywhere.

Five seconds on the inhale, five seconds on the exhale. Repeat this several times and you're on your way to relaxation and calm.

This powerful, ten-second technique that we will practice today can change your stress into calm, strength and centeredness. The basis of The Ten Second Pause is using a single deep breath as a container for a specific thought.

The technique is simple to grasp, simple to use, simple to practice and simple to master. It can be used anywhere, anytime, by anyone and it's benefits are profound. You may find yourself able to do things that previously felt too painful or too difficult to attempt. You'll be able to calm and center yourself before an important meeting or conversation. You'll be able to change your basic attitudes about life, becoming calm and positive where before you may have been anxious or pessimistic.

These Chakra Zen Incantations we are about to do are based on the breath-awareness teachings from Eric's book, which you can learn more about on my website or find on Amazon.com.

  • My energy   . . .   is free of blockages
  • My root chakra   . . .   is deeply grounded
  • My sacral chakra juices   . . .   are creative and bold
  • My solar plexus   . . .   feels mellow and calm
  • My heart   . . .   is filled with love
  • My throat   . . .   speaks the truth
  • My third eye   . . .   intuits inner knowledge
  • My crown chakra   . . .   projects inspiration
  • My chakras   . . .   are spinning in alignment
  • My aura   . . .   is colorful and clutter-free
  • My lightbody   . . .   beams brightly
  • I am   . . .   centered and balanced

oday’s guest is Kyle Davies. Kyle lives and works in Cardiff, Wales. He is a Chartered Psychologist that practiced for 10 years until the late 1990s, when he turned his attention to therapeutic work. With training in counseling and multipple fields, including Ericksonian Psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and Neuro-Linguistic-Programming (NLP), Kyle began working and innovating in the therapeutic environment focusing on depression and anxiety disorders.

In 2003, Kyle broadened the scope of his work from a cognitive-mind centered approach to encompass a more body-centered approach. He continued to work with depression, anxiety and panic disorder, and also began to specialize in treating physical conditions including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Autoimmune conditions, Lyme Disease, and others.

Kyle’s fascination with the energetic interconnectedness of life has driven him to further expand his work to meld the metaphysical with the scientific, and to develop a complete body-mind-spirit model of healing. He has developed cutting edge, transformational modalities that encompass behavioral change, core level belief change, vibrational (energetic) healing with sound and touch, and self-empowerment.

He helps people take an empowered approach to health and vitality, to ‘upgrade' their life experience so they can live their lives to the fullest and regain their lost energy and health.

You can find out more about Kyle at www.kyledavies.net. Or email him at Support@KyleDavies.net

In today’s guided meditation with Michael Neeley, you will be treated to conscious poetry from Mary Oliver, Rumi, Derek Walcott and Wendell Berry.

Love after Love by Derek Walcott:

The time will come

When with elation,

you will greet yourself arriving

at your own door in your own mirror,

and each will smile at the other's welcome,

and say, sit here. Eat.

You will love again the stranger who was your self.

Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart

to itself, to the stranger who has loved you

all your life, whom you have ignored

for another, who knows you by heart.

Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,

the photographs, the desperate notes,

peel your own image from the mirror.

Sit. Feast on your life.

From Wendell Berry’s The Real Work:

It may be that when we no longer know what to do

we have come our real work,

and that when we no longer know which way to go

we have come to our real journey.

The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings."

Today’s guest is Michael Modzelewski. Michael is a Correspondent/Co-Host for EarthWise — the anchor TV show on the Outdoor Life channel, featuring all the powers and nuances of the Natural World. He is a roving Correspondent for the national radio show The Good Life, reporting from the field on his adventures all over the world.

But before all this, Michael grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where his father played professional football with the Browns. He graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Journalism, and for the past 12 years has traveled to 40 countries around the world on assignment for national publications.

He’s the author of several books, including Angeles Crest: A MemoirInside Passage: Living with Killer Whales, Bald Eagles, and Kwakiutl Indians; and North Through Paradise. His speech: “Triumph of The Spirit” is an inspiring, motivational account of what it takes to survive; then thrive in the wilderness — or any challenging situation.

After living “date-less” on the wild island, upon returning to civilization, Michael was startled to find he was chosen Cosmopolitan Magazine’s “Bachelor-of-The-Month” and Alaska Men Magazine’s centerfold story (keeping his pants & parka on, but getting a staple through his navel). After receiving 5,000 letters from women around the world, he married one of the correspondents. Michael’s latest book, WILD LIFE: THE MISS–ADVENTURES OF A COSMO BACHELOR is attracting rave reviews from everyone except his mother.

Once referred to as the John Muir of our times, I’m excited to bring him to you today on Consciously Speaking.

Today’s guest is Ryan Hawk. Ryan is a learner, a leader, a husband to a great wife and the father of five beautiful daughters. He has worked as a sales leader and is currently filling a corporate leadership role while taking on the daunting task of becoming a podcast host, at the Learning Leader Show.

Ryan is excited that he is getting to make something that he really believes in – something that feels true to who he is and what he’s all about.

Although he’s in the business world today, he started his leadership journey when he played quarterback on his 2nd-grade football team. That led to serving as captain of his high school and college football teams, and eventually culminated in his stint as a professional quarterback in the Arena Football League.

While quarterbacking was certainly hard work, his role in leadership was equally demanding. As an introvert by nature, Ryan had to learn a lot in order become an effective teammate and captain.

And now he finds himself leading in a different context, learning different skills and acquiring new traits. He’s relishing the process and is excited to learn along with you.

You can find out more about him at www.LearningLeaderShow.com.

Susie also finds joy in equipping women to grow deeper in their faith, increase their self-confidence, and live in freedom. She is passionate about the power of God to change us!

Although Susie holds a Masters in Counseling and a Masters of Divinity, she credits the “school of life” for her greatest learning. As a sought after retreat and event speaker, Susie weaves stories, humor and hope in her messages. She has been described as “dynamic, creative, engaging and motivating ~ an electrical storm & infusion of energy.”

Susie believes that messy can be good, as most of us learn more through making mistakes and needing second chances rather than taking the safe and tidy way. She believes grace is essential, because we are all a work in progress… and grace makes us kinder to ourselves and others.

Susie is married to her best friend, John, a serial entrepreneur. They both say their 3 adult children bring them joy, laughter, and lots of love – and also credit them for more than a few wrinkles! She loves dark chocolate, good books, and lingering conversations.

Susie's new book, Listen, Learn, Love is available starting today.  Get your copy here.

Today’s guest is Maria Merloni. Some people think Maria is all about sex, and while S.E.X. IS one of her favorite things on the planet, what she’s REALLY all about is helping YOU fall more deeply in love with yourself!

Maria knows what it’s like to be frustrated that on the one hand you KNOW you are amazing, sexy, and completely capable of having the CONFIDENCE, self-love, amazing partnership, and sex life you really want….

Yet on the other hand there’s that little voice in your head telling you you’re not enough; it holds you back, always keeping what you want just out of reach.

As a Sex & Relationship Coach and Therapist, Maria excels at SEX Ed, and I’m talking S.E.X. as in Synergistic Energy Exchange.

You can find out more about Maria and S.E.X. at www.MariaMerloni.com.

Hello Conscious Explorers! Welcome to Episode 94 of Consciously Speaking. Today, as we approach our 100th episode, I want to replace our normal topical content show with more of an update on the status of the show itself.

Here’s what I'm going to cover:

1.      I want to appreciate you, the Conscious Explorer that you are, and I want to give a shout out to some of Consciously Speaking’s biggest fans. I’ll also share some of the reviews the show has received.

2.      I want to draw back the curtain on the production of the show, our evolution so far, and where I’d like to see the show progress over the next 100+ episodes. This will include what it has taken to get this far, and what it will take to keep the show going well into the future.

3.      I want to make some requests of you. Nothing demanding. Some simple “asks” with no pressure at all. Feel free to pick and choose which of them you can do with ease and comfort, which ones you feel most compelled to do, and which ones you have zero interest in at all.

  1. Join the conversation. It could be as simple as liking a post on the Facebook page, retweeting or favoriting a tweet, leaving a comment on one of the posts that interested you or even on my website.
  2. Feedback! I can’t make the show any better if I don’t know what you like and what you don’t like.
  3. If you haven’t already given the show a rating and a review, please take a moment to do that. And subscribe, too, if you haven’t already.
  4. Tell a friend. I love that you’re digging the show, but please don’t be stingy. Tell a friend about it. Show them how easy it is to subscribe, download and enjoy.
  5. Support the Consciously Speaking crowd-funding campaign.
    1. Let me know what kind of reward would be of most interest to you.
    2. Help me spread the word.
      1. Email a personal invitation to your friends to check out the campaign
      2. Tweet about it to your Twitter followers
      3. Post it on your Facebook page

I so very much appreciate you for listening, not just today, but always. I hope I have been transparent enough for you, and I’m willing to answer any other questions that I may not have thought to cover today. And I request that you keep on listening and chiming in every chance you get.

As I said in Episode 0, this isn’t my show – it’s our show. Thanks for being a Conscious Explorer with me, and until next time – live without limits!

Today’s guest is Nick Pereira. For the past 10 years, Nick has experienced both failure and success in business and in life, each time gaining valuable lessons and secrets to achieving new levels of peace, joy and success.  After a promising career in the music industry, being the #1 Touring Artist in his genre, having a Hit Single on the Radio, a record deal and countless opportunities opening to him, Nick's dreams were fading quickly and a life-altering car crash sealed the final blow.

However, Nick turned it all around and shifted course. Now he coaches people from various walks of life; from high level professionals to stay at home moms, from six figure financial advisors, political figures, realtors, teachers and teens.

Nick is uniquely gifted in the art of helping people break through their limiting beliefs and create the mental shifts in their life to allow for new and better results.  When Nick speaks, he is speaking from personal experience, about his own tremendous hurdles, from filing for Bankruptcy, giving up a pot addiction, and restoring love in his relationships. Nick combines his "real life" experience with the training and education of being a coach and working with some of the best in the industry, you get a combination that creates long lasting results.

You can find out more about him at www.NickPereira.com
