Today’s guest is Shannon Algeo. Shannon’s goal is to bring light and connection to the world through transformative tools and powerful conversations that honor our humanity, empower us on our journey, and challenge us to show up in the world as leaders who take 100% self-responsibility for our lives.

Shannon’s life coaching approach is based on his own spiritual journey from heartbreak, job loss, scarcity, and fear to self-compassion, career empowerment, wholeheartedness, and love. He believes that we learn what our purpose is by first learning what our purpose isn't.

From dancing and singing on stage, to living in a tent while cooking on an organic farm, to being a passionate fundraiser for AIDS research and the Obama campaign to his catering days at swanky NYC parties, and being the PR/social media guy and book editor for an author, Shannon is living proof that there are no rules when it comes to how to live YOUR life. We learn what our purpose is by taking action and learning valuable information from the actions we take.

Shannon also believes that our soul is the voice of spirit inside each of us that wants us to evolve and transform into unconditional love. He is here to hold sacred space for transformative soul conversations that clarify and connect you to your purpose and generate commitment to powerful, measureable actions in the real world that align with your purpose.

You can find out more about Shannon at www.ShannonAlgeo.com. And here is the link to his retreat info: Mexico.

Today's episode is reminiscent of a good old "Best of" album. It is a compilation of 19 Pearls of Wisdom from a variety of previous guests. Listeners have frequently expressed difficulty in remembering a particular bit of advice, as they have been listening while driving or jogging, or simply didn't write it down.

This episode is an effort to put some of these pearls together to make them more readily accessible, and easy to find. If you like this format, please let me know. I hope to make a few more episodes like this in the future, and eventually even an eBook where you can easily access these pearls at your leisure.

Today's Pearls of Wisdom are brought to you by the following guests:

You may click on any individual guest's name to be taken to their website.

Enjoy…

In today’s short guided meditation with Michael Neeley, you will be treated to conscious poetry from Rumi, Hafiz, Buddha, Kabir and Valerie Cox.

We are what we think.

All that we are arises with our thoughts.

With our thoughts we make the world.

Speak or act with an impure mind

And Trouble will follow you

As the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart.

We are what we think.

All that we are arises with our thoughts.

With our thoughts we make the world.

Speak or act with a pure mind

and happiness will follow you

As your shadow, unshakable.

"Look how he abused me and beat me,

How he threw me down and robbed me."

Live with such thoughts and you live in hate.

"Look how he abused me and beat me,

How he threw me down and robbed me."

Abandon such thoughts, and live in love.

~ Buddha

In today's short topical content episode, Michael discusses perfection and our human pursuit of it. It is a top-of-mind thought right now, as he is gearing up to launch a new podcast, Your Daily Fix.

Do you let striving for perfection stand in the way of taking the leap? Do you hold out for that someday/one-day moment when all of the stars are aligned and your project or song or novel or masterpiece is absolutely perfect before you can release it to the world?

The world is waiting... but not for perfection. Just for you... as you are.

You'll also hear some beautiful words from Ram Dass and C. JoyBell C. In addition, Michael shares some upcoming concept changes for Consciously Speaking and welcomes your input.

If you'd like to join the launch team for Your Daily Fix, just drop us a line at Admin@MichaelNeeley.com. You'll get all of the inside scoop on the details of the launch and be the first to know the exact date. PLUS, all you need to do to help out is share it with your friends, subscribe to the show, and write a rating and review on opening day. Thanks for helping out!

Today's guided meditation will take place on your feet (unless, of course, you're driving as you listen). Walking meditation is a simple practice that can help you to bring awareness to your day at any given moment. You can even take a few steps during your grocery shopping to get a brief respite from your busy day.

Michael will guide you through a few variations on the practice:

  • Focusing on your external sensations (sound, sights, and climate)
  • Focusing on your internal physical action (shifting your balance as you move)
  • Awareness in the pause (a practice in slowing down and observing the world)

If you are enjoying the Consciously Speaking Guided Meditation Series, won't you please share it with a friend (or two)? Send them to subscribe on iTunes, Stitcher, or on www.MichaelNeeley.com.

Namaste.

Today’s guest is Alex Kip. Alex is a coach, a speaker, and a leader, and perhaps most important of all – a cancer survivor on a mission to help you find your purpose, live in love, and spread your light. After being told he had a 15-30% chance of surviving cancer, he knows how important it is to live fully NOW!

Alex teaches you to how overcome "unbeatable" odds in your life, business, and relationships. He believes that "Someday" is today, and the world needs your spark of light to cut through the darkness. And while that spark can bring you everything you need, too often we're taught to be "realistic," to do what's safe, or to never give your heart away.

Alex say “F' that! You only have this moment!”

He knows what it's like to lose everything and to regret not living fully... fortunately for him, he got a second chance. And now he pays it forward as a coach, a leader, and the host of the podcast Soul Feed.

You can find out more about Alex at www.AlexKip.com. OR... take advantage of this generous free offer:
